The Story
Rolevanta started with a simple observation: I was applying to engineering roles and hearing nothing back. Not “you're not qualified.” Not “we went with someone else.” Just silence.
I don't have an Ivy League degree or a FAANG internship on my resume. I have a 2-year college degree and years of teaching myself how software actually works. For a while I figured that was the problem — the filter recruiters apply before they even read the thing.
So one night I started building a small automation. It would read a job description, pull out what the listing actually asked for, and rewrite my resume and cover letter to speak the same language. It didn't lie about my experience — it just stopped burying the parts that were relevant.
The response rate changed almost overnight. Within a few weeks I was sitting in real interviews at companies I used to only read about in tech news. I didn't suddenly become more qualified. I became more visible.
