When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials. If you sign up via Google OAuth, we receive your basic profile information from Google.

Resume & Career Content

We collect the content you provide when using our Service, including resume text, work experience, education history, skills, job descriptions, cover letter content, and interview preparation responses.

Payment Information

Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers or bank account details on our servers. Stripe may collect payment information in accordance with their own privacy policy.

Usage Data

We automatically collect information about how you interact with our Service, including pages visited, features used, browser type, device information, and IP address. We use Google Analytics to help us understand usage patterns.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Service, including AI-powered resume generation, cover letter writing, and interview preparation
• Process your content through AI models to generate tailored resumes, analyze job descriptions, and score ATS compatibility
• Process payments and manage your subscription
• Send you service-related communications, including account verification, billing notifications, and feature updates
• Monitor and analyze usage trends to improve user experience
• Detect, prevent, and address technical issues or fraudulent activity

We share your information with the following third-party services that are essential to operating our platform:

OpenAI

Your resume content and job descriptions are sent to OpenAI's API to power our AI features, including resume generation, cover letter writing, ATS scoring, and interview question generation. OpenAI processes this data in accordance with their API data usage policies and does not use API inputs to train their models.

Stripe

We use Stripe to process subscription payments. Stripe collects and processes your payment information in accordance with their privacy policy.

Supabase

We use Supabase for database hosting and user authentication. Your account data and resume content are stored on Supabase-managed infrastructure.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized usage data to help us understand how our Service is used. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) provides you with specific rights regarding your personal information:

• Right to Know: You have the right to request disclosure of the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
• Right to Delete: You have the right to request deletion of your personal information, subject to certain exceptions.
• Right to Opt-Out: You have the right to opt out of the sale of your personal information. We do not sell personal information.
• Right to Non-Discrimination: We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information, including encryption in transit (TLS/SSL), secure authentication via Supabase Auth, and access controls on our infrastructure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.

Our Service is not directed to individuals under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16, we will take steps to delete that information promptly.
